LOS ANGELES - The Lord of the Rings is one of most successful trilogies in film history earning 17 Academy Awards ® including three for its music. Beyond critical acclaim, the music from the films also enjoyed wide commercial success, collectively selling 7 million copies. Directed by Peter Jackson, The Lord of the Rings films are based on the popular J.R.R. Tolkien novel of the same name.

Rhino is returning to Middle-earth on April 6 with the first soundtrack from the Trilogy, THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING: THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS, available on vinyl for the first time as a 5-LP boxed set ($119.98). Housed in a collector's box with red leather style spine, the collection is limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies on red vinyl. The soundtrack will also be available as a 3-CD disc set ($79.98) plus 1 Blu-ray audio disc containing high-resolution 5.1 and Stereo mixes of the entire score, a reactivation of the 2005 box set featuring the entire score from the extended versions of the film. Both versions come with extensive liner notes from author Doug Adams who analyzes many of the themes and motifs used throughout the score.

The music for all three films was composed, orchestrated and conducted by Howard Shore. The music he wrote for The Fellowship of the Ring was performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, with contributions by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the London Voices and the London Oratory School Schola. The soundtrack also highlights two original songs written and performed by Enya: "May It Be" and "Aníron (Theme for Aragorn and Arwen)." The soundtrack was certified platinum in the U.S. alone, and sold extremely well around the world. It won the Academy Award ® for Best Original Score, as well as the Grammy ® for Best Score Soundtrack Album.

THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING: THE COMPLETE RECORDINGS is the first of in a series of three releases that will also feature The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) on color vinyl for the first time. More information on the series of releases will be available at a later date.

The Complete Recordings is last year's most important archival soundtrack release, expanding and preserving one of the finest and most significant recent scores in all of film music. Shore's Lord Of The Rings trilogy is an operatic symphony that is among the finest musical accomplishments of the last half-century. There's probably never been as ambitious a film score as Howard Shore's 10-hour epic for the "Lord of the Rings" series... the music is rich and complex, drawing on a vast range of styles and exotic instruments to evoke J.R.R. CHANGESTWOBOWIE, the follow up to David's hugely successful first "Best Of" compilation CHANGESONEBOWIE, has not officially been available since the late 1980s. Featuring iconic cover photography by Greg Gorman, it was first released in 1981 and was only briefly available on CD in 1985 but has long since been deleted.

Drawing on material spanning from Hunky Dory (1971) to Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps) (1980), it achieved gold status in the U.K. album chart in 1982. It will be reissued on the April 13 with all tracks remastered on CD in a digipak sleeve, high-resolution 192/24 and 96/24 digital, and standard digital for streaming and download, as well as a 180gram vinyl edition available randomly on its initial limited manufacturing run in black and blue vinyl before reverting solely to black vinyl.

192/24 and 96/26 high-resolution digital versions of CHANGESONEBOWIE will be also released for streaming and download on April 13.

2017 saw gold vinyl versions of Hunky Dory and The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, released 45 years to the day of the first issuing of Ziggy. To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of the ALADDIN SANE album; there will be a special limited edition silver vinyl version released.

This strictly limited one run only silvery vinyl edition of ALADDIN SANE will contain Ken Scott's approved 2013 remaster and will be released on April 20, 45 years to the day since the original release date for the album. Previously thought to have been issued on April 13, 1973, new evidence has come to light that proves the release date was officially April 20, but being Good Friday in the UK the album was "made available" on April 19.

ALADDIN SANE 45th anniversary silver vinyl will only be available to "brick and mortar" retail stores and not through on-line stores.

In 1978, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong made their feature film debut in UP IN SMOKE, the outrageously funny classic inspired by their now legendary comedy routines of the early '70s. Following massive success with over 10 million comedy albums sold, four Grammy nominations and a win for Best Comedy Recording for "Los Cochinos," Cheech and Chong took Hollywood by storm when UP IN SMOKE became a smash hit, establishing the pair as the reigning comedy duo of a new generation. Today, the film still has viewers rolling in the aisles and maintains surprising cultural relevance four decades after its original release.

In UP IN SMOKE Cheech and Chong play wannabe musicians and stoners who unwittingly smuggle a van made of marijuana from Mexico to L.A. Their drug-laced humor keeps their spirits high as they unknowingly elude the police and meander their way to an outrageous finale at the Roxy Theatre in Hollywood where Cheech performs in a pink tutu and Chong plays drums in a red body suit with a Quaalude logo.

The UP IN SMOKE Blu-ray Combo Pack features a brand new short-form documentary entitled "How Pedro Met the Man: Up In Smoke at 40," which chronicles the duo's comedy history, as well as the origins and impact of the film itself. Capturing a complex and fascinating pop culture odyssey, the documentary incorporates new interviews with Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong and producer/director Lou Adler along with archival footage. The Combo Pack is also loaded with previously released bonus material including deleted scenes, commentary, a music video and more.

LOS ANGELES - Chicago has been a concert force for more than 50 years, thrilling its legion of fans with performances that never disappoint. This spring, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will celebrate their live legacy with a 4CD/1DVD collection of previously unreleased concert recordings, which includes several deep cuts that have never appeared on any of the band's live albums.

CHICAGO: VI DECADES LIVE (THIS IS WHAT WE DO) will be available on April 6 for $64.98. The songs in the collection were recorded between 1969 and 2014, including the band's entire performance at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970. The DVD features a concert that was originally broadcast on the German music television show Rockpalast (a WDR production) in 1977. The set comes with a 24-page booklet illustrated with rare images selected from the band's vast archive.

The first two discs are dedicated to Chicago's headlining performance at the Isle of Wight Festival on August 28, 1970. It's a snapshot of the band on the verge of superstardom and captures them in top form, playing songs from their first two albums - "Beginnings" and "Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon" - as well as "Mother" from their third album, which was unreleased at the time. The other two headliners on this 3-day festival were The Doors and Jimi Hendrix.

The remaining discs include live performances selected from six decades, starting with a trio of songs recorded in Paris in 1969: "Poem For The People," "25 Or 6 To 4" and "Liberation." Other highlights include deep tracks like "A Hit By Varèse" (1973), "Takin' It On Uptown" (1977) and "Forever" (1987), in addition to songs from Chicago's 1994 big band tour: "In The Mood" and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore."

On February 12, 1977, Chicago played live on the German music television show Rockpalast . The entire concert is included here on DVD. An amazing overview of the band's career to that point, it boasts unforgettable performance of "Saturday In The Park," "Just You 'n' Me," "Call On Me" and "(I've Been) Searchin' So Long/Mongonucleosis," plus covers of the Beatles' "Got To Get You Into My Life" and The Spencer Davis Group's "I'm A Man." As a bonus, the DVD also includes the band's fan favorite performance of "What's This World Comin' To" from the 1973 ABC television special, Chicago In The Rockies.

As you would expect, the legendary "rock band with horns" will be on the road for much of 2018, including its first Las Vegas residency, which begins this month at The Venetian.

In another first, the band's upcoming U.S. tour will feature a complete performance of Chicago II, the double-platinum, double album with such hits as "25 Or 6 To 4," "Make Me Smile," "Wake Up Sunshine" and "Colour My World." Each night, the concert's second set will be packed with many of Chicago's greatest hits. These concerts promise to be the longest shows of the band's career, which spans more than 50 years and includes more than 100 million albums sold, 20 Top 10 hits and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
