LOS ANGELES - The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will induct The Cars in April, honoring the legendary band's incredible musical legacy and enormous commercial success. Rhino will kick off the celebration early with expanded editions for two of The Cars' most iconic albums - Shake It Up and Heartbeat City.

SHAKE IT UP: EXPANDED EDITION and HEARTBEAT CITY: EXPANDED EDITION will be released individually on March 30. Each album will be available on CD for $14.98, and as a double-LP set for $29.98. The music will also be available digitally on the same day. Today, fans are invited to listen to a previously unreleased demo version of their hit song "Drive," by going here.

Each release features the original album - remastered in 2016 - expanded with rare and unreleased bonus tracks. Illustrated booklets accompany the music and contain liner notes written by renowned rock journalist David Fricke, who details the history of each album with new interviews by band members Ric Ocasek for Heartbeat City and David Robinson for Shake It Up.

Ric Ocasek, Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes, Benjamin Orr and David Robinson recorded Shake It Up in 1981 at Syncro Sound, the group's new studio in Boston, with producer Roy Thomas Baker. Working in their own space afforded them the time to perfect the sound of the album, which became their third-straight Top 10 hit record and sold more than two million copies. It features the unforgettable singles "Since You're Gone," "Think It Over" and The Cars' first Top 10 hit single, "Shake It Up." Several unreleased tracks make their debut on SHAKE IT UP: EXPANDED EDITION, including an early version of "Since You're Gone," the demo for "Shake It Up" and an unreleased song called "Midnight Dancer."

In 1984, the band returned with Heartbeat City, an album produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who'd worked previously with AC/DC, Foreigner and Def Leppard. The album, which peaked at #3 on the charts, went on to sell four million copies, making it the band's fifth consecutive platinum album. An amazing success, the album launched five tracks that reached the Top 40, including the Top 10 hits "Drive" and "You Might Think." Videos for the songs received heavy airplay on MTV, including "Hello Again," which was directed by Andy Warhol, and "You Might Think," which won the inaugural MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year in 1984. Among the seven bonus tracks included on HEARTBEAT CITY: EXPANDED EDITION are unreleased versions of "Why Can't I Have You" and "I Refuse," as well as the demo for "Drive."

Love's 1967 Masterpiece Celebrated With A 4CD/DVD/LP Collection Packed With

The Set Will Be Available On April 6 From Rhino

LOS ANGELES - Love's FOREVER CHANGES is the psychedelic folk-rock pioneers' finest achievement. Mostly overlooked when it was released in 1967, today the album is considered an indispensable masterpiece. In 2008, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, and - in 2012 - the Library of Congress added it to the National Recording Registry.

Rhino will celebrate the acclaimed album's golden anniversary with an extensive 4CD/DVD/LP collection housed in a beautifully illustrated 12 x 12 hardbound book that features a newly written essay and track-by-track notes by music historian Ted Olsen. FOREVER CHANGES: 50th ANNIVERSARY EDITION will be available on April 6 for $99.98.

The set features a few firsts for the album, including the CD-debut of a remastered version made by its original co-producer and engineer Bruce Botnick, as well as the first-ever release of the mono version on CD. Also included are alternate mixes of the album, as well as a selection of rare and unreleased singles and studio outtakes. Botnick's stereo remaster of the original album also makes its vinyl debut on the LP included with this set. It was cut from high resolution digital audio by celebrated audio engineer Bernie Grundman.

The DVD that accompanies the anniversary collection includes a 24/96 stereo mix of the album version of the original album remastered by Botnick. Also featured is "Your Mind And We Belong Together," a rare promotional video directed by Elektra producer Mark Abramson that was originally released in 1968.

Recorded during the Summer of Love in Hollywood, CA, Forever Changes is the group's most fully realized studio effort, featuring Arthur Lee (vocals, guitar), Johnny Echols (lead guitar), Bryan MacLean (rhythm guitar, vocals), Ken Forssi (bass) and Michael Stuart (drums, percussion). The original album introduced classics like "Andmoreagain," "Red Telephone," "A House Is Not A Motel" and "Alone Again Or."

FOREVER CHANGES: 50th ANNIVERSARY EDITION boasts more than a dozen rarities, including single versions of "Alone Again Or" and "A House Is Not A Motel" that are available now for the first time since 1967. Two other recordings on the set have never been released: the backing track for "Live And Let Live" and an outtake backing track for "Wonder People (I Do Wonder)."

Single "Meadow" Top Ten At Rock Radio

LOS ANGELES - Stone Temple Pilots has announced a March 16 release date for its highly anticipated new self-titled album, Stone Temple Pilots. This marks the band's first album with the new lead singer, Jeff Gutt.

Despite being one of the best-selling bands of the 1990s with platinum records and a Grammy to its credit, guitarist Dean DeLeo says, " We are thrilled about what lies ahead. The best way for us to honor our past is to keep making new music."

The band does just that on Stone Temple Pilots. The first single "Meadow" (currently Top 10 at rock radio) and "Never Enough" channels the gritty guitars and swaggering rhythms that STP perfected on Core (1992), Purple (1994), and No. 4 (1999). "Roll Me Under" glides along a nimble bass line before slamming into the chorus, where Gutt's baritone digs in.

Pre-order the album today @ www.stonetemplepilots.com and receive instant downloads of "Meadow" and "Roll Me Under." Exclusive bundles are also available on the site, including vinyl, t-shirt, and a limited edition, hand signed lithographs by the band. The album will also be released on vinyl on May 25.

In addition to the previously announced dates in March and festival dates this spring, STP has announced 14 new headline dates in May . When asked what to expect on the upcoming tour, Robert DeLeo says," With so much time and experience gone by in life we feel compelled to dig back into a 30-year catalog and really try to reflect and choose what songs haven't been performed live. We want to give people who have come to see us in the past a chance to hear something they haven't heard before at previous STP shows. We want to celebrate this time in our lives with our performances."

Presale for tickets begins today, and public on-sale February 2. A digital copy of the new album, Stone Temple Pilots will be included with every ticket purchased (except where noted * below)

Stone Temple Pilots track list:

1. Middle Of Nowhere
2. Guilty

6. Thought She'd Be Mine

To Be Reissued With New Remastering Supervised By Jimmy Page

Including The Album's Debut Release On Vinyl And Blu-ray Audio,
Along With Super Deluxe Boxed Set, CD, And Digital Versions

On September 7, 1968, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant first took the stage together in Gladsaxe, Denmark. Then billed as "The New Yardbirds," the band would assemble in the studio for the first time later that month to start recording their debut album as Led Zeppelin, and rock 'n' roll would never be the same again. Before the band's 50th Anniversary celebration officially begins in September, Led Zeppelin will continue their reissue campaign with a new edition of their celebrated live album How The West Was Won, originally released in 2003, featuring newly remastered audio, which was done under the supervision of Jimmy Page. Details of additional Led Zeppelin 50th Anniversary releases and events will be announced later this year.

HOW THE WEST WAS WON will be released on March 23 in multiple formats from Atlantic/Swan Song, including the first ever vinyl and Blu-ray Audio editions (with the Blu-ray containing hi-res 5.1 surround sound).

CD - Remastered audio on three CDs
Vinyl - Remastered audio on four 180-gram vinyl LPs.
Blu-Ray Audio - 96kHz/24 bit 5.1 (DTS-HD Master Audio Surround) and stereo mixes
(PCM Stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio Stereo).
Streaming & Digital Download - Remastered audio.
Super Deluxe Boxed Set
o Remastered audio on three CDs and four 180-gram vinyl LPs.
o DVD of album in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and PCM Stereo, plus photo gallery.
o High-def download card of all stereo audio content at 96kHz/24 bit.
o A book filled with rare and previously unpublished photos of the band at each of
the concert locations, plus memorabilia and ephemera.
o High-quality print of the original album cover, the first 30,000 of which will be
individually numbered.

HOW THE WEST WAS WON highlights the best performances from Led Zeppelin's legendary concerts at the Los Angeles Forum and Long Beach Arena on June 25 and 27, 1972. Melded together and sequenced to replicate a single concert from beginning to end, the three-CD and four-LP collections capture the band at the height of its formidable powers. Standouts include a 25-plus minute version of "Dazed And Confused" and a 21-minute medley based around "Whole Lotta Love." The performances also capture the band introducing songs from its then-unreleased album Houses Of The Holy, which would be released nine months later.

THE BEST OF THE GRATEFUL DEAD LIVE

Career-Spanning Collection Features Live Versions of 19 Songs Selected
From The Band's Vast Catalog of Concert Recordings

CD, LP, Digital Download, And Streaming Versions Available March 23

LOS ANGELES - The Grateful Dead forged its legend on the road, traveling countless miles between 1965 and 1995 to perform a world record 2,318 shows for millions of devoted fans. The band's refusal to ever play a song the same way twice has endeared generations of fans, many of whom prefer certain live versions of songs over their studio counterparts, and garnered the popular phrase among Dead Heads: "There is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert."

Made for die-hard Dead Heads and new fans alike, THE BEST OF THE GRATEFUL DEAD LIVE is the ultimate live collection, a two-disc set with recordings selected from the band's official live albums on Warner Bros. and Arista, plus a few tracks from their many archival live releases, beginning with "St. Stephen" - from the group's first official live album, 1969's Live/Dead - and ending with the poignant "So Many Roads," taken from the band's final concert at Chicago's Soldier Field in July of 1995

THE BEST OF THE GRATEFUL DEAD LIVE will be available as a two-CD set on March 23 for $19.98. The music will be available through digital and streaming services as well. On the same date, Volume One of the collection will also be available on 180-gram vinyl as a 2-LP set for $34.98, covering the first half of the album. Volume Two on vinyl will be released at a later date.

"We wanted to follow up the 2015 The Best Of The Grateful Dead studio set with a live counterpart, and have focused our efforts on the band's primary live albums as well as some key tracks from archival concert releases," says band archivist and producer David Lemieux. "Just as there was nothing like a Grateful Dead concert, there is also nothing like a live Grateful Dead recording; it's no secret that as good as the Dead's studio recordings were, they excelled in front of an audience, and this set provides an overview of just how great the Dead were live in concert."

The live albums the band released during its 30-year career are the primary source for the collection, including tracks like "Bertha" from Grateful Dead (Skull & Roses) (1971), "Fire On The Mountain" from Dead Set (1981), and "The Music Never Stopped" from One From the Vault (1991). A testament to its ongoing popularity, the revered double-album Europe '72 (1972), is represented by no less than five tracks, including "Sugar Magnolia," "Jack Straw" and a searing rendition of "Morning Dew."

Other performances on the set were selected from the growing number of live releases that have emerged since the death of founding member Jerry Garcia in 1995. Some of those recordings include "Touch Of Grey" from Truckin' Up To Buffalo (2005), a 1990 version of "Eyes Of The World" with saxophonist Branford Marsalis featured on Wake Up To Find Out (2014), and "Estimated Prophet," which debuted earlier this year as part of Cornell 5/8/77, a recording of the Grateful Dead's mythic show at Cornell University in 1977, thought by many to be the band's greatest live performance.
