"Hello, I Love You" 7" Single To Be Released On August 3, 50 Years
To The Day Of The Song Hitting Number One On The Billboard Singles Chart

LOS ANGELES - The Doors released their third studio album, Waiting For The Sun, in July 1968. It was the band's third platinum album in less than two years, and the first to top the album chart. Since its debut, the album has sold millions of copies around the globe and contributed to the Doors' legendary canon with classics like "The Unknown Soldier," "Five To One" and the #1 smash, "Hello, I Love You."

Rhino will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the album this year with WAITING FOR THE SUN: 50th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION. This 2-CD/1-LP collection features a new version of the album's original stereo mix on both CD and 180-gram vinyl LP, which has been newly remastered from the original master tapes by Bruce Botnick, the Doors' longtime engineer/mixer. The set also includes a second disc of 14 completely unreleased tracks: nine recently discovered "rough mixes" from the   album recording sessions and five live songs from a 1968 Copenhagen show. WAITING FOR THE SUN: 50th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION will be available on September 14 for $49.98. The audio will also be available on digital download and streaming services.

"Hello, I Love You" became the band's second #1 hit when it topped the Billboard singles chart for two weeks beginning on August 3, 1968. Now, exactly 50 years later, Rhino will release a new 7" version of the single with its b-side "Love Street." For this anniversary release, Rhino will use mono radio mixes of the songs that were given exclusively to radio stations for airplay in 1968. This version of "Hello, I Love You" was first available last year as part of The Singles CD collection and is making its vinyl debut here, while the "Love Street" mix is being released commercially for the first time. The 7" single will be available on August 3 for $9.98.

Botnick's newly remastered stereo mix of Waiting For The Sun adds new sonic dimensions to songs like "The Unknown Soldier" and "Spanish Caravan," but that wasn't his only contribution to the project. While going through his archive, he uncovered a cache of rough mixes from the sessions that hadn't been played in 50 years. Botnick says: "I prefer some of these rough mixes to the finals, as they represent all of the elements and additional background vocals, different sensibilities on balances, and some intangible roughness, all of which are quite attractive and refreshing."

The deluxe edition of the album also features unreleased live recordings of five songs from the Doors' September 17, 1968 concert in Copenhagen. The performance includes three songs from the band's latest album - "Hello, I Love You," "Five To One," and "The Unknown Soldier" - plus the classics "Back Door Man" and "The WASP (Texas Radio And The Big Beat)."

When the Doors recorded Waiting For The Sun in 1968, they were among the first bands to use Dolby A301 noise reduction processors, which was cutting-edge recording tech at the time. Similarly, the most advanced sound recording innovations were used to make the anniversary edition of Waiting For The Sun. The new release has been encoded with the MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) process. An MQA disc plays back on all CD players as standard CD quality. But if a conventional CD player is connected to an MQA-enabled device, it can play the same disc back at its original sample rate.

In other Doors news, the band has reprinted their original 1968 Doors concert program for the first time, which will be available exclusively in The Doors webstore. This was the only official tour program ever created by the band.

The program was originally produced for their 1968 U.S. tour but only sold at a few select shows and via mail order. Designed by Paul Ferrara, this 24-page program includes many color and black & white images taken by Ferrara, plus poetry by Jim Morrison, astrology charts for each band member, and more.

The Song Remains The Same Soundtrack
To Be Reissued With New Remastering Supervision By Jimmy Page

Super Deluxe Boxed Set, CD, Vinyl, And Digital Versions, Plus The
Full Album's Debut Release In Hi-Res 5.1 Surround Sound On Blu-ray,
Available September 7

Led Zeppelin was at the peak of its powers on July 27-29 1973 when the band's performances at New York's Madison Square Garden were recorded for the concert film, The Song Remains The Same. The soundtrack to the film, produced by Jimmy Page, was originally released on Swan Song in 1976.

The band continues revisiting their live canon on September 7 with a new edition of the soundtrack to THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME that features newly remastered audio.  This release follows the recent reissue of their live album How The West Was Won, and rounds out the deluxe reissue series of their classic albums that began in 2014, building to the band's 50th anniversary celebration slated to commence later this year. Coincidentally, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and Robert Plant played their first live show together, under the moniker "The New Yardbirds" at the time, on September 7, 1968.

THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME will be released in multiple formats from Atlantic/Swan Song, including the full album's debut in hi-res 5.1 surround sound on Blu-ray. The Super Deluxe Boxed Set will be the most exquisite and elaborate release in the reissue series, recreating the intricate embossing of the set's original issue and will also mark the first time the full length film and soundtrack have been available in the same package. On the 4-LP set, Page made a change to the track sequence, allowing the epic, 29-minute version of "Dazed And Confused" to be featuring in its entirety on one side of vinyl for the first time.

THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME is the soundtrack to the legendary concert film of the same name, which was released in 1976. The performances in the film were recorded July 27-29, 1973 at Madison Square Garden during the band's tour for its then-current studio album, Houses Of The Holy. The two-CD and four-LP collections are packed with electrifying live versions of Zep classics like "Rock and Roll," "Stairway To Heaven," "No Quarter," "Moby Dick," "Dazed And Confused," and "Celebration Day."

Speak & Spell | The 12" Singles And A Broken Frame | The 12" Singles Kick Off The Series On August 31 From Rhino

LOS ANGELES - When Depeche Mode entered the scene with the release of the group's first single "Dreaming of Me" / "Ice Machine" on February 20, 1981, it laid the groundwork for one of the most transformative career paths in contemporary music. Depeche Mode combined elements of new wave pop, dance, rock, blues and electronic music to create emotional soundscapes for the future and the 12" vinyl single - with superior sound and deeper grooves favored by dance club DJs and fans alike - proved the perfect sonic medium for the band's sweeping vision.

Depeche Mode realized the format's potential and embraced the power of 12" vinyl and the avenues of innovation it opened up. The 12" single allowed the band to explore new sonic possibilities while the physical beauty of the packaging gave Depeche Mode room to develop a sophisticated and commanding visual aesthetic. Depeche Mode used their singles discography as a means of offering left field remixes and other delights for their fans.

"Our 12" singles have always been incredibly important to the band," agreed the members of Depeche Mode. "It's great to be able to re-share these songs with old and new fans in the way they were originally intended to be experienced. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do."

Each boxed set in the series will contain the singles from each Depeche Mode album on audiophile-quality 12" vinyl, with audio remastered from the original tapes and cut at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The artwork for the exterior of each of the new boxed sets draws on street art iconography inspired by the original releases, while the vinyl sleeves themselves feature the original vinyl single artwork.

SPEAK & SPELL | THE 12" SINGLES contains a facsimile reproduction of the rare Flexi Disc "Sometimes I Wish I Was Dead" b/w "King of the Flies" (the Fad Gadget track as on the original release); Dreaming Of Me 12": "Dreaming of Me" b/w "Ice Machine"; New Life 12": "New Life (Remix)" b/w "Shout! (Rio Mix)"; Just Can't Get Enough 12": "Just Can't Get Enough (Schizo Mix)" b/w "Any Second Now (Altered)"; original single poster reproduction; download card.

A BROKEN FRAME | THE 12" SINGLES contains See You 12": "See You (Extended Version)" b/w "Now This Is Fun (Extended Version)"; The Meaning of Love 12": "The Meaning of Love (Fairly Odd Mix)" b/w "Oberkorn (It's a Small Town) (Development Mix)"; Leave In Silence 12": "Leave In Silence (Longer)" b/w "Further Excerpts From: My Secret Garden" and "Leave In Silence (Quieter)"; original single poster reproduction; download card.

The Depeche Mode 12" singles series will continue over the coming years, with plans to release boxes containing the singles from each of the band's albums in similar deluxe audiophile-grade collector's editions. These first two boxed sets will be released by Rhino on August 31, 2018 and will be available for a retail price of $59.98.

Depeche Mode is currently in the midst of the Global Spirit Tour, a worldwide concert tour that started in May 2017 and will finish this summer with a pair of shows at the Waldbühne in Berlin on July 23 and 25. In all, the 15-month Global Spirit Tour will see the band play to over 3 million fans across Europe, North America and South America.

As part of the Depeche Mode's ongoing charity partnership with Swiss watchmaker Hublot for the benefit of charity: water, a global non-profit bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries, a special limited-edition series of watches inspired by the band's 55 singles are also being released. Each watch will be unique, with one watch made for each single, incorporating the artwork from the single into the design of the watch. Each watch will come housed in a custom Rimowa suitcase containing the watch, a Roland JP-08 synthesizer, a copy of the corresponding vinyl single, and a certificate of authenticity signed by the band. Net proceeds from the sale of the watches will go to charitywater.org. More details on this series are available on www.hublot.com.

Formed in 1981, Depeche Mode continue to win critical and commercial acclaim around the world, both in the studio and on the road. The band have released 14 studio albums which have reached the Top 10 charts in more than 20 countries including the US, UK, Germany and France. Their most recent album, Spirit, was released in March 2017 and debuted at #5 on Billboard 200 and the UK album charts (becoming their 17th Top 10 UK album). With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, Depeche Mode have well earned their distinction as "the most popular electronic band the world has ever known" (Q Magazine).

LET IT WANDER

Double Album Signals A New Beginning For The Quartet

LOS ANGELES - Circles Around The Sun explore new horizons on the band's upcoming double album, Let It Wander. It's the first new music from the quartet since their acclaimed 2015 debut, Interludes For The Dead.

LET IT WANDER will be available August 17 on CD for $24.98. A limited-edition vinyl version of the double album will be released the same day for $39.98. All of the music will be available via digital download and streaming services. Hear the new track "Immovable Object" HERE.

Guitarist Neal Casal, keyboardist Adam MacDougall (his bandmate in the Chris Robinson Brotherhood), bassist Dan Horne and drummer Mark Levy recorded seven instrumentals for LET IT WANDER earlier this year at Castaway 7 Studios in California.

Originally, Circles Around the Sun (CATS) was only supposed to record some Grateful Dead-influenced instrumentals to be played during the set breaks at the Dead's "Fare Thee Well" concerts. But the response was so positive, and the band was having so much fun making music together, that they all agreed to keep it going.

LET IT WANDER signals a new beginning for the band as they move beyond their original musical mandate of evoking the spirit of the Dead and fully embrace their own personality. "More than anything, what you hear on this album is a band growing into its own sound," Casal says.

The songs on LET IT WANDER are focused and filled with imaginative musical turns. Horne and Levy form a veritable groove machine that knows intuitively when to tighten up and when to stretch out. They expand and collapse the rhythmic pocket around Casal and MacDougall, who pass melodies back and forth in an elaborate game of musical tag as they take turns adding color and shade from a seemingly endless kaleidoscope of cosmic sounds.

One of the album's highlights, "One For Chuck" features a surprising cameo by Chuck D. The charismatic leader of the legendary hip-hop pioneers Public Enemy happened to stop by the studio while the band was listening to a song they'd just recorded. He liked the music, so the band asked him to record an intro. He obliged, and they dedicated the song to him.
