RHINO ANNOUNCES MASSIVE HARRY POTTER: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACKS I-VII 16-LP BOX SET OUT NOVEMBER 29, 2024

AVAILABLE IN FOUR LIMITED-EDITION COLORWAYS CORRESPONDING WITH FOUR HOGWARTS HOUSES

FEATURING MUSIC BY ICONIC A-LIST COMPOSERS JOHN WILLIAMS, PATRICK DOYLE, NICHOLAS HOOPER, & ALEXANDRE DESPLAT

(October 28, 2024 – Los Angeles, CA) Just in time for the holidays, Rhino announces a robust new 16-LP box set, Harry Potter: Original Motion Picture Soundtracks I-VII, out November 29, 2024. This comprehensive package notably collects the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack albums for all eight films in the Harry Potter franchise in one breathtaking boxed set for the first time ever. Moreover, the collection will be available in four different color variants, corresponding to the four Hogwarts Houses with Red Vinyl for Gryffindor, Green Vinyl for Slytherin, Blue Vinyl for Ravenclaw, and Yellow Vinyl for Hufflepuff. Harry Potter: Original Motion Picture Soundtracks I-VII spans over 10 hours of music and is limited to 3,000 copies, exclusively at Rhino’s D2C Store and select WMG stores internationally.

Legendary five-time Academy® Award-winning composer John Williams notably crafted the scores for the first three films in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). The Sorcerer’s Stone and The Prisoner of Azkaban each garnered a nomination in the category of “Best Original Score” at the Academy® Awards. Not to mention the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album also achieved a Gold Certification from the RIAA.

Meanwhile, Academy® Award-nominated Patrick Doyle supplied the score for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), while Nicholas Hooper created the music for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009). Two-time Academy Award-winning composer Alexandre Desplat closed out the saga by scoring both Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011). The series has impressively generated billions of global streams to date.

Celebrating the legacy of Harry Potter music, American Songwriter retrospectively professed, “Few things were as magical as watching the first three Harry Potter films as a youngster. Even today, when watching them back with a sense of nostalgia, that same whimsy cuts deep, largely thanks to the stellar soundtrack by none other than John Williams.” Beyond cracking north of 81 million Spotify streams, the signature “Hedwig’s Theme” has taken on a life of its own. Classic FM attested, “As soon as we hear those opening notes of ‘Hedwig’s Theme,’ we are immediately whisked away into Harry’s wizarding world through a flurry of strings and that haunting, solo celesta.” Tracking Angle proclaimed, “Even within the context of his catalogue of one classic film score after another, the three films that John Williams scored for the Harry Potter franchise occupy a very special place.”

PRIME VIDEO GREENLIGHTS GLOBAL DOCUMENTARY ON MULTI-PLATINUM-SELLING POP-PUNK BAND SIMPLE PLAN

SIMPLE PLAN RELEASE DELUXE EDITION OF CLASSIC LP STILL NOT GETTING ANY… (20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION) ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS FRIDAY

(October 25, 2024 - Los Angeles, CA) Simple Plan has announced an upcoming documentary chronicling their multi-platinum-selling career as they tour the world in anticipation of their 25th anniversary. The untitled documentary, currently in production with Sphere Media, was revealed by lead singer Pierre Bouvier during a live performance at the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas this past weekend. The film will premiere globally on Prime Video in 2025.

The documentary will explore the formation of Simple Plan in Montreal in the late 1990s, their rise to global fame with hits like “Welcome to My Life,” “Perfect,” and “Jet Lag,” and their ongoing success as one of the most prominent punk rock bands in the world. It will feature never-before-seen archival footage and new interviews with the band members, alongside renowned punk rock icons, including Mark Hoppus (Blink 182), Avril LavigneDexter HollandNoodles (The Offspring), and Fat Mike (NoFX).

Produced by Sphere Media, the documentary’s executive producers include Bruno Dubé, Renaud Chassé, and Marie-Hélène Tremblay, with Samuel Sauvageau serving as producer and Didier Charette as director.

“This movie is the centerpiece of our 25th-anniversary celebrations and probably one of the most ambitious and special projects we’ve ever been a part of,” said Simple Plan. “Reaching this milestone felt like the perfect moment to reflect and give our fans an inside look into our lives, both on tour and at home. We gave Didier Charette unprecedented access to the band and our archives, and he traveled with us on tour for an entire year. We’re incredibly proud of this movie and can’t wait for our fans to see it and get to know us like never before!”

In other exciting news, this week marks an incredible milestone for the band. Simple Plan is celebrating two decades of their seminal sophomore LP with the release of Still Not Getting Any... (20th Anniversary Edition), available now on all streaming platforms.

The deluxe edition features two previously unavailable tracks, “Crash And Burn” and “Welcome To My Life (Acoustic Single Version),” alongside upgraded versions of four classic music videos, including “Welcome to My Life,” “Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?),” “Crazy,” and “Shut Up!” on the band’s official YouTube channel.

Still Not Getting Any... originally debuted on October 26, 2004, and quickly soared to #3 on the Billboard 200. The hit single “Welcome to My Life” reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 10 on the Mainstream Top 40 chart, amassing over 280 million streams on Spotify to date. The album has since been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

“Even with all the anniversaries and career milestones we've been celebrating lately, 20 years of Still Not Getting Any...truly stands out. This album has been incredibly important to both us and our fans, and it holds a very special place in the band’s history.

Making this album was one of the best experiences we’ve had as a band. Creatively, we knew exactly what we wanted to accomplish and felt so confident and excited about the songs we were writing. We spent a magical summer in our hometown of Montreal recording the album with legendary producer Bob Rock,  who became a friend and mentor.  He helped us craft the album we had always dreamed of making.

Back in 2004, these songs traveled the world and became part of so many people’s lives. 20 years later, they are still staples of our live shows, and we are so proud and grateful they have stood the test of time. We look forward to playing them for our fans for many years to come.

We hope you enjoy listening to the album again, and want to thank everyone for the love and support you've shown SNGA over  all these years!”

Working out of Studio Piccolo, the guys recorded Still Not Getting Any… with legendary producer Bob Rock [MetallicaBon JoviAerosmith] behind the board. Channeling the uncontainable energy of their live show coupled with towering stadium-size hooks, they delivered a hyper-catchy yet hard-hitting body of work without compromise. It only fueled their rapid rise as they co-headlined a tour with Good Charlotte in its wake, supported Green Day, and even threw down with a performance at the Teen Choice Awards.

Speaking to the record’s lasting impact, the group recently earned a 2x-Platinum certification for “Welcome To My Life” and Gold certifications for “Untitled (How Could This Happen To Me?)” and “Shut Up!

Stay tuned for more from Simple Plan soon!

About Simple Plan

From their new millennium rise to MTV superstardom through pop-punk’s modern resurgence, Simple Plan has been an indelible part of pop culture since forming in Montreal in 1999. They’ve sold 10 million albums worldwide, won multiple Juno Awards, performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics – and, most recently, launched the omnipresent #ImJustAKid TikTok challenge that’s spawned more than 3.4 million videos, including clips from Hilary Duff, Ed Sheeran, Usher and Venus and Serena Williams.

But most importantly, they’ve never lost connection with what really matters: their audience. “We feel so lucky to have fans who love our old and new material,” says drummer Chuck Comeau. “We’re very proud of our past, but we’re even more excited about the future. We truly always feel we’re 3 minutes away from the best or biggest song of our career.”

“It’s amazingly complex to be in a band for 20-plus years, to keep going, stay relevant and manage all the challenges that come your way,” Bouvier says. “It’s the furthest thing from a ‘simple plan’ – it’s truly a lot harder than it looks.

RHINO HIGH FIDELITY

Premium Vinyl Series Traces Punk Rock’s Roots

Limited Edition Reissues Of The Stooges’ Self-Titled Debut and The Ramones’ Road To Ruin Out Now

High-End Remastering Of Generational Punk Albums

Available Exclusively At Rhino.com

(October 24, 2025 - Los Angeles, CA) Rhino High Fidelity (Rhino Hi-Fi) continues its series of acclaimed limited-edition, high-end vinyl reissues by going punk rock! New Rhino Hi-Fi versions of The Stooges’ self-titled debut LP The Stooges and The Ramones’ seminal fourth full-length album Road To Ruin will be available on November 1, 2024, exclusively at Rhino.com and internationally at select WMG stores. Each release will be limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies priced at $39.98.

The Stooges unleashed their groundbreaking debut on August 5, 1969, and they unassumingly ignited a revolution. Led by inimitable frontman Iggy Pop, it spawned classics such as “I Wanna Be Your Dog” and “1969.” The latter notably graced Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitar Songs, while the record also claimed a spot on Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time.” Retrospectively, Pitchfork hailed it as “raw and immediate and dripping with an aggression that's rarely been rivaled.” It also reached #106 on the Billboard 200.

As part of its liner notes, this High Fidelity release features an insightful Q&A with legendary photographer Glen Craig conducted by A&R producer Jason Jones. During this conversation, Craig recounts chronicling the recording sessions for The Stooges, snapping photos as the musicians performed live in the studio. He recalls, “I shot a picture of Iggy with his shirt off, practically in his underwear, dancing around on the amps and stuff. That’s pretty much the way things went.

Known as the “Godfather of Punk, Iggy has achieved induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® alongside his bandmates in The Stooges. He also garnered a GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Ramones first unveiled Road To Ruin on September 22, 1978. It notably marked the debut of Marky Ramone behind the drumkit. Collaborating with producers T. Erdelyi and Ed Stasium, the band cut the album at Mediasound Studio A—which just so happened to be a former Episcopalian Church in Midtown Manhattan. Grinding throughout the early summer of ‘78, they churned out signature anthems such as “I Wanna Be Sedated” for the record. The latter has impressively generated nearly half a billion streams. Plus, this staple even garnered a platinum certification from the RIAA in 2018—four decades since its initial release.

Stasium penned new liner notes for the High Fidelity Release of Road To Ruin. He recalls the sessions in vivid detail, discussing the various recording techniques at a fascinating and impressively granular level. He also illuminates the careful meticulousness at the heart of The Ramones’ sound, setting the scene, “We always recorded the band live in the studio.” The producer goes on to add, “The final result was a very musically diverse album, ranging from classic Ramones (“I Wanted Everything”) to a style that some fans called pop country (“Don’t Come Close”), which, believe it or not, has 14 tracks of overdubbed guitars on it!”

The Ramones earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® and a GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award.

Quadraphonic Albums Available For The First Time In Over 50 Years

On Blu-ray With Quadraphonic And Hi-Res Stereo

LOS ANGELES—Rhino excitedly presents a brand new collection of high-quality quadrophonic releases, extending its QUADIO series of premier reissues beloved by audiophiles everywhere.

Following scarcity for over five decades, four seminal albums have now been digitized and preserved from their original analog four-track Quad mixes. This latest cohort of classics consists of the previously unissued Foghat Energized (1974) and J. Geils Band Bloodshot (1973), along with Jefferson Starship’s Dragon Fly (1974) and the highly requested The Doobie Brothers’ Toulouse Street (1972).

Quadraphonic sound, or 4.0 surround sound, utilizes four audio channels connected to four speakers positioned at the corners of a listening space. The multi-tracked audio is mixed dimensional, immersing the listener in an expansive soundscape.

The collection is available today as Blu-ray discs with a quadraphonic and 192/24 stereo mix. Currently exclusive to Rhino.com and select Warner Music Group stores worldwide, each title retails for $24.98, with a bundle of all four available for $79.98.

Foghat made big waves with Energized when it landed on January 6, 1974. It eventually reached the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 and boasted hits such as “Honey Hush” and “That’ll Be The Day.” It garnered a Gold certification from the RIAA.

The world formally met Jefferson Starship with the release of the group’s debut, Dragon Fly, in October of 1974. Tunes like “Ride The Tiger” and “Hyperdrive” only reaffirmed the inimitable chemistry and power of the creative union shared by Grace Slick and Paul Kanter following their six years together in Jefferson Airplane. Produced by the band and Larry Cox, it surged to #11 on the Billboard 200.

Worcester, MA powerhouse J. Geils Band leveled up with their breakthrough Bloodshot. Released on April 12, 1973, it vaulted to #10 on the Billboard 200. Powered by Peter Wolf’s seismic vocals and the late J. Geils’s fiery guitar, it yielded the fan favorites “Give It To Me” and “(Ain’t Nothin’ But a) House Party,” among others.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® and Vocal Group Hall of Fame® inductees The Doobie Brothers really hit their stride on sophomore full-length Toulouse Street. After landing in July 1972, it climbed to #21 on the Billboard 200. It also took flight as the first album to showcase a solid two-drummer foundation with the addition of Michael Hossack accompanying John Hartman. Among many highlights, opener “Listen To The Music” ranks among their most popular material, generating a staggering 622 million Spotify streams and counting.

About Quadio

Rhino introduced the Quadio Series in June 2023, with Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Babies, Black Sabbath's Paranoid, The J. Geils Band's Nightmares..., and Jefferson Starship's Red Octopus. This series follows the success of the sold-out Chicago and Doobie Brothers' Quadio sets. Quadraphonic sound, also known as 4.0 surround sound, uses four audio channels connected to four speakers at the corners of a listening area. This type of audio provides an immersive listening experience by dimensionally mixing multi-tracked audio, creating an expansive soundscape for the listener. Rhino’s recordings are transferred from the original half-inch four-channel masters at a high resolution of 192/24 for a pristine sound.
