In the late 70s, the L.A. punk scene saw its share of greatness, but few acts were as talented, and as long lived, as the now world-class, live, rock & roll band X. Over the years, the band has released several critically acclaimed albums, topped the musical charts with regularity and performed their iconic hits on top television shows such as Letterman and American Bandstand. Two of their legendary albums, Los Angeles and Wild Gift, appear on Rolling Stone’s Top 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
As was previously announced, X will join their east coast comrades, BLONDIE, as a Special Guest on their fall U.S. “No Principals Tour”. Set to kick off September 5th, the bands will hit U.S cities including Atlantic City, Washington, DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta and Philadelphia before wrapping October 4 in New York City at Roseland Ballroom. X will then play a solo date in Boston on October 5 at The House of Blues.
The original line-up of X remains John Doe, Exene Cervenka, Billy Zoom, and D.J. Bonebrake.
