New Contest Invites Fans To Submit Playlists And Become Official Rhino Musicologists
LOS ANGELES – Rhino Entertainment, is proud to announce the launch of the Rhino App, now available on Spotify. The app features custom playlists by “Rhino musicologists,” offering the expert musical curation that Rhino is known for. The newly designed app will have a familiar layout to those who have spent hours scouring racks of vinyl, mimicking the look of a vintage record store. Specific playlists run the gamut of musical content, including:
• Custom Artist Playlists – Spotlighting some of Rhino’s most legendary artists.
• Classic Rhino Playlists – Inspired by iconic Rhino genre compilations such as Just Can’t Get Enough, Left Of The Dial, No Thanks!, Poptopia, and What It Is!.
• Tour Set Lists – Replicating the set lists of Rhino artists currently on tour.
• Guest Curators – Playlists by friends of Rhino, such as Fred Armisen, Henry Rollins, music industry pundit Bob Lefsetz, and the acclaimed L.A. music blog Aquarium Drunkard.
Many die-hard music fans have always dreamt of contributing their creativity to a Rhino project, and now is their chance. To coincide with the app launch, Rhino has announced a new contest to search for guest “Rhino musicologists.” Fans will submit their custom curated playlists and Rhino will select the most creative ones to be featured in the Rhino App in the coming weeks.
