LOS ANGELES (22 November 2010) – Since it’s release 20 years ago, Pantera’s Cowboys From Hell has become one of the most iconic metal records of all time. Cowboys also serves as the official debut of the legendary Pantera lineup with singer Philip Anselmo, guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, his brother, drummer Vinnie Paul and bassist Rex Brown.
Rhino follows-up the Expanded and Deluxe Editions of Cowboys From Hell released earlier this year with two additional, must-have items for Pantera followers.
The first is the limited edition vinyl release, COWBOYS FROM HELL: THE DEMOS. Pressed on high-quality 180-gram vinyl, the set includes the original demos for 10 of the 12 songs from Cowboys including early versions of the title track, “Psycho Holiday,” and “Cemetery Gates,” as well as “The Will To Survive,” a previously unheard demo that was released for the first time earlier this year. The set also features a newly designed alternate cover of the album. This release is limited to 3,000 copies and is available only at participating “Black Friday” Metal Club stores beginning November 26 for a suggested list price of $17.98. The second is the COWBOYS FROM HELL ULTIMATE EDITION box set which includes the three-disc Deluxe Edition of Cowboys, a 60-page booklet with rare photos and essays by all surviving band members, as well as several replica items including a poster, flyers, backstage passes, a button and a t-shirt designed by Dimebag Darrell himself. The ULTIMATE EDITION box is available now for a suggested retail price of $99.98.
