LOS ANGELES - Parlophone Records are proud to announce DAVID BOWIE A NEW CAREER IN A NEW TOWN (1977-1982), the third in a series of boxed sets spanning his career from 1969.

The follow up to the award winning and critically acclaimed David Bowie Five Years (1969 - 1973) and David Bowie Who Can I Be Now? (1974 - 1976) will be released on September 29 and will contain a brand new remix of the 1979 album Lodger by long time Bowie producer/collaborator Tony Visconti.

The eleven-CD box, thirteen-piece vinyl set and the Mastered For iTunes and standard digital download sets feature all of the material officially released by Bowie between 1977 and 1982. It includes the so-called "Berlin Trilogy" of albums on which he collaborated with Visconti and Brian Eno as well as the Baal E.P., appearing here for the very first time in its entirety on CD, and is closed by Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps).

The boxed set, named after a track from the first of the so-called "Berlin Trilogy" Low, includes Low, "Heroes," Stage (Original and 2017 Versions), the former in the vinyl box will be pressed on yellow vinyl, replicating its original limited edition U.K. release and the latter of which featuring two previously unreleased tracks, Lodger, Lodger (Tony Visconti 2017 Mix), Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), Re:Call 3 (featuring contemporary single versions, non-album singles, b-sides and songs featured on soundtracks) and the "Heroes" E.P., a compilation exclusive to the set celebrating the 40th anniversary of the song, which rounds up the German and French album and single versions of the track in one place for the first time.

Exclusive to each of the boxed sets is Lodger (Tony Visconti 2017 Mix). The remix was started with David's blessing before his passing in January last year. Tony Visconti has revisited the original multi-tracks at Human Studios and remixed the album with the benefit of modern technology to better highlight the album's nuances. Always a personal favorite of David's, this version of the album will also feature newly "remixed" artwork featuring unseen images from the original cover photographic session from the archive of the Estate of photographer Duffy, working closely with his son Chris.

Also exclusive to each box is Re:Call 3, a new compilation featuring remastered contemporary single versions, non-album singles and b-sides, and songs featured on soundtracks. The cover features a photo by Christian Simonpietri taken at Hansa Studios in Berlin during the "Heroes" sessions in 1977. The Baal E.P. in its entirety is making its CD debut while "Beauty And The Beast" (extended version) and "Breaking Glass" (Australian single version) are making their debuts on CD and digitally.

"Beauty And The Beast" (extended version) is available now as digital download upon pre-order of the boxed set. This version of the "Heroes" album track is making its digital and CD debut having previously only been available on a rare US promo 12" and as a limited 12" release in Spain.

The physical boxed set's accompanying book, 128 pages in the CD box and 84 in the vinyl set, will feature rarely seen and previously unpublished photos by photographers including Anton Corbijn, Helmut Newton, Andrew Kent, Steve Schapiro, Duffy, and many others as well as historical press reviews and technical notes about the albums from producer Tony Visconti.

The CD boxed set will include faithfully reproduced mini-vinyl versions of the original albums, and the CDs will be gold colored rather than the usual silver. The vinyl boxed set has the same content as the CD set and is pressed on audiophile quality 180g vinyl.

*A NEW CAREER IN A NEW TOWN (1977-1982) will also be made available in High Definition audio digital formats (192kHZ/24bit and 96kHZ/24bit). Content varies from other formats due to the resolution of the available original source material.

LINDA RONSTADT'S SIMPLE DREAMS
GETS EXPANDED FOR 40TH ANNIVERSARY

Rhino Celebrates One Of The Singer's Definitive Albums With
Remastered Audio Plus Three Bonus Live Tracks

CD, Vinyl, And Digital Versions Will Be Available On September 15 From Rhino

LOS ANGELES - Linda Ronstadt released one of the most successful albums of her groundbreaking career in 1977 with the #1 Grammy®-winning smash Simple Dreams. It was the singer's eighth studio album and would go on to sell more than three million copies in the U.S. alone.

Rhino has revisited the classic 40 years later to create a new version that features remastered audio, plus a trio of live songs taken from a 1980 concert performance. SIMPLE DREAMS: EXPANDED EDITION will be released on September 15 on CD ($14.98), LP with bonus 7" ($24.98), digital download, and streaming services.

When SIMPLE DREAMS came out in September 1977, it became Ronstadt's fifth consecutive platinum-certified album. A few months after its release, the album would finally end Fleetwood Mac's record-breaking 29-week stay atop the Billboard Album Chart when it replaced Rumours at #1. SIMPLE DREAMS' success spread beyond America, hitting #1 in Australia and Canada, while reaching the Top 20 in the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the U.K.

An instant classic, SIMPLE DREAMS spawned two massive hits thanks to Ronstadt's cover of Buddy Holly's "It's So Easy," which peaked at #5, and a cover of Roy Orbison's "Blue Bayou" that reached #3 on the Pop Chart and #2 on the Country Chart. In 1978, that platinum-certified single earned Ronstadt Grammy nominations for both Record of the Year and also Best Pop Vocal Performance Female. The album also won the Grammy for Best Recording Package.

Along with major hits, SIMPLE DREAMS also featured several tracks that would emerge as fan favorites, like the singer's take on Warren Zevon's "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" and the Rolling Stones' "Tumbling Dice." Country superstar Dolly Parton joined Ronstadt on the traditional ballad "I Never Will Marry," a Top 10 hit on the Country charts. Almost a decade later, Ronstadt, Parton, and Emmylou Harris would release their first Trio album.

In addition to newly remastered sound, the Expanded Edition of SIMPLE DREAMS also includes bonus live recordings of "It's So Easy," "Poor Poor Pitiful Me," and "Blue Bayou." All three are taken from a concert recording that originally aired on HBO in 1980 and are available here for the first time as standalone audio tracks.

LOS ANGELES – The Doors’ 50th anniversary celebration continues this summer with three new collections that spotlight every single and B-side the band released in the U.S., all gathered together for the first time.

THE SINGLES will be available in multiple formats listed below on September 15 from Rhino.

• 2-CD – All 20 U.S. singles with their corresponding B-sides, plus four mono radio versions ($19.98)

• 2-CD/Blu-ray – All the content from 2-CD version plus the 1973 compilation The Best Of The Doors in Quad on Blu-ray for the first time ($24.98)

• 7-Inch Vinyl Box – All 20 U.S. singles with their corresponding B-sides on twenty 7-inch vinyl 45s with original sleeve art and labels, presented in an ornate, lift-top box. Limited to 10,000 copies worldwide ($149.98)

• Audio will also be available on digital download and streaming services

THE SINGLES shows the creative chemistry shared by drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Krieger, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, and vocalist Jim Morrison; four brilliant artists who made The Doors one of America’s most iconic and influential rock bands.

The collection includes the single versions from all six of the landmark studio albums the quartet released between 1967 and 1971, including classics like “People Are Strange,” “Love Her Madly” and “Riders On The Storm.” Also included on the CD versions are four mono radio versions of some of the band’s biggest hits, such as “Hello, I Love You” and “Touch Me,” which have never been made available anywhere after being sent to radio around their original release. The B-sides – many of which are making their CD debut – add another dimension to the band’s legacy with such stellar tracks as “Who Scared You,” which appeared in March 1969 as the flipside to “Wishful Sinful,” and a cover of Willie Dixon’s “(You Need Meat) Don’t Go No Further,” which was paired with the 1971 smash “Love Her Madly.”

THE SINGLES also features several songs released after Morrison’s passing in 1971. Among those recordings are tracks the surviving trio recorded together (“Tightrope Ride” and “The Mosquito”), as well as live selections from posthumous releases (“Roadhouse Blues” and “Gloria.”)

The Blu-ray disc that accompanies the expanded version of THE SINGLES features a high-resolution Quadraphonic mix of The Best Of The Doors. This 11-song compilation, available on Blu-ray for the first time, was remixed specifically for Quad in 1973 and offers a unique sonic experience on songs like “Soul Kitchen,” “Moonlight Drive” and “Love Me Two Times.”

The summer is already a busy one for the Doors. The group will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its first #1 hit on July 28 with a limited edition, 7” vinyl reissue of “Light My Fire” that features artwork from the Japanese version of the single. Limited to 7,500 copies, the single will be available for a suggested price of $7.98.

BRIAN WILSON TO RELEASE PLAYBACK,
HIS FIRST EVER SOLO CAREER-SPANNING ANTHOLOGY

Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary World Tour Continues Throughout 2017

LOS ANGELES - Brian Wilson's eponymous solo debut for Sire in 1988 launched an extended period of renewal for the iconic Beach Boys songwriter. Rhino revisits Wilson's solo career with a new 18-song collection that mixes studio and live recordings with two previously unreleased tracks: "Run James Run," a new song Wilson wrote and recorded for this collection, and "Some Sweet Day," an unreleased gem he wrote with Andy Paley in the early 1990s for an unfinished recording project.

PLAYBACK: THE BRIAN WILSON ANTHOLOGY covers more than 30 years of music with selections from nine of Wilson's solo albums and will be released September 22 on CD ($13.98), double-LP ($31.98), on digital download and streaming services. Tickets are also available now to see Wilson perform live as he continues the Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary Final Performances World Tour, which was recently extended due to overwhelming demand.

The collection opens with "Love And Mercy," one of the four songs on PLAYBACK taken from Wilson's self-titled debut. The song has become one of Wilson's most beloved classics, a regular closer to his live concerts, and was adopted as the title of the acclaimed 2015 biopic that saw the Beach Boy memorably played by both Paul Dano and John Cusack.

Several tracks on PLAYBACK come from the two albums Wilson released in 2004:  Gettin' In Over My Head and the Grammy®-winning Brian Wilson Presents Smile. The most poignant of these is "Soul Searchin'," a song Wilson built around a vocal track left behind by his brother Carl, who passed away in 1998. The celebrated orchestral masterpiece, Smile is represented by "Heroes And Villains", and the timeless classic, "Surf's Up."

Those back-to-back releases ushered in a sustained burst of creativity for Wilson that includes four acclaimed albums. They're represented on the collection by "Midnight's Another Day" (That Lucky Old Sun, 2008); "The Like In I Love You" (Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin, 2010); "Colors Of The Wind" ( In The Key Of Disney, 2011); and "One Kind Of Love" (No Pier Pressure, 2015.)

Tucked in with these studio classics are two live performances from Wilson's 2000 concert recording, Live At The Roxy Theatre. Included here are "The First Time" and "This Isn't Love," a charming collaboration with Wilson's Pet Sounds lyricist Tony Asher.

PLAYBACK: THE BRIAN WILSON ANTHOLOGY includes a selection of classic photos from throughout Wilson's solo career, in addition to a candid shot taken in the studio in 2017 during the recording of "Run James Run." The album also includes liner notes by David Wild, and features a previously unseen picture of Wilson on the front cover, taken by legendary rock photographer Robert Matheu.

JET RELEASES DELUXE EDITIONS OF
THEIR FIRST TWO ALBUMS

Reissues Of Get Born And Shine On Including Unreleased Tracks
And Rarities Now Available From Rhino

LOS ANGELES - Following their reformation and tour dates earlier this year, one of Australia's most successful rock bands of all time, Jet, have reissued their first two albums Get Born and Shine On. Get Born: Deluxe Edition is available as a 2-CD set and on digital download and streaming services today. Shine On: Deluxe Edition is also available today on digital download and streaming services. Both deluxe editions feature rare and previously unreleased digitally re-mastered recordings from each period.

Of the bonus content, Chris Cester, founding member, drummer and songwriter says: "Once the ball started rolling, things were happening quickly and we needed more songs to round out the set. We only had 13 songs. Get Born basically! It was a wild time, and a really creative period. We had pretty much been high for three years straight! These recordings were lost for years but then re-appeared down the line somehow."

Jet quickly conquered the world after forming in 2001, selling more than 6.5 million albums globally and securing 10-x Platinum certification in Australia and Platinum in the US and UK for their 2003 debut album Get Born. The album produced a string of classic singles in "Are You Gonna Be My Girl," "Rollover DJ," and "Look What You've Done" and netted the band six 2004 ARIA awards. Both "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" and "Cold Hard Bitch" peaked at number 1 on the US Billboard Modern Rock singles charts and propelled the band to the top of festival bills and charts around the world.

In 2006, Jet were named APRA's Songwriters of The Year and for three years running "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" was the most performed Australian song overseas.

Jet's follow up album Shine On followed in 2006 with another collection of melodic rockers including "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is," "Bring It On Back," and "Rip It Up." The album achieved platinum status in Australia on the back of stand-out headline shows around the world and an unforgettable Big Day Out run in 2007.
